just installed a new gfx card today.. This is the normal behavior if you try to activate concurrent displays that can't be active - most laptops will give this behavior if you try to activate two external displays I've tried swapping the connection with the mini-Displayport adapter from the 24" to the 27" back and forth and got the exact same problem as before.I also tried one of the The Display Settings Could Not Be Saved Please Try A Different Combination Doesn't matter which 2 - but only 2 at a time.

Does anyone know how to solve this? I plug the monitor into the HDMI cable, and it works. It appears that the limitation is actually there is no D-Sub / HDMI / Internal Monitor option like there is in Windows Display. I made a bad assumption, and it took me around an hour to realise it.
Result: Can't set the full resolution on the 27" Dell (same problem as before).HDMI = 24" Dell /// DP1 = 24" Dell /// DP2 = 27" Dell. Have you tried the "Detect" and "Identify" buttons to see if it can figure out that the USB display is not hooked up anymore? As always, use your own discretion with all advice here.
