My situation was I trying to fix two xp computers so they could see eachother on a home network. Imagine my outrage when I saw how simple was his solution, i.e., REBOOT THE ROUTER, and realized no user manual or troubleshooting protocol anywhere even mentioned it! All other workstations on the network use identical Windows 7 Professional installations and never have these problems.
