I think you might be right that it is a timing issue, so will get a 3.0 hub as you suggested and see if that works. Either way, System Restore isn’t going to fix your problem. I simple follow the guide create the system image from the windows 7 backup and restore to the usb drive, and make a rescure disk from there and boot from it I tried in safe mode, and that did not work.
